We are proud to offer a reliable service to our customers. However, from time to time, we may experience issues – rest assured, we will always be on top of the problem to restore functionality as quickly as possible.

We are continuously improving our platform and, in order to do that, we schedule our maintenance windows outside business hours.

This server is hosted in Finland so it is geographically separate from our UK data centres and network infrastructure.

Client Portal Notification of cPanel Critical Security Vulnerability / Actions Taken

We are currently aware of a critical security issue affecting the cPanel control panel software. You can find out more here:

In line with guidance issued by cPanel, we have temporarily suspended access to cPanel and WHM interfaces across our hosting platform as a precautionary measure.

What is affected:

  • cPanel login (including cpanel.yourdomain.com and direct port access)
  • WHM login for reseller accounts
  • Webmail access via cPanel ports (webmail.yourdomain.com)

What is NOT affected:

  • Your website — all sites continue to load and serve visitors normally
  • Incoming and outgoing email — delivery and receipt are unaffected
  • FTP access
  • SSH access
  • Databases

As of this e-mail, cPanel have released patches for various server versions - and we have already fully updated our shared hosting platform. We have also disabled Service Subdomains (aka Proxy Subdomains) as per the guidance.

Where it is possible, and we have access to do so, we are also attempting to update VPS servers - however all VPS customers should fully validate their installs at the earliest opportunity.

The global firewall restrictions also extend to VPS servers - we understand this may be disruptive and impede logging into your VPS, however we are taking a "safety-first" stance - especially during the overnight window.

We anticipate restoring cPanel access late morning 29/04/26 - once we have confidence that the initial cPanel patches cover off the issue.

    Shared Web Hosting Shared Hosting Services Unavailable

    We are aware of an issue affecting our Shared Hosting, Basic Email Hosting and our own publicly facing website and billing portal.

    We are looking into this and will update as soon as we have finished investigating.

    If you are experiencing any issues with your site, please get in touch. Remember, if your site does not use our DNS servers, you will need to update this manually with your provider.

    As part of our ongoing process to ensure our servers remain secure and updated, we will be migrating our shared hosting services.

    This is required because the operating system your server currently uses will be End-Of-Life in Q3 2024, and will no longer receive security or other updates after this date.

    THIS CHANGE ONLY APPLIES TO OUR SHARED WEB HOSTING AND BASIC EMAIL HOSTING PRODUCTS

    The migration date will be Tuesday 11th of June 2024

    IF YOU ARE USING OUR DNS SERVERS

    Provided you do not use an external DNS service, such as Cloudflare, then you should ensure that the nameservers associated with any domains are set to:

    ns1.mediablazehosts.coop

    ns2.mediablazehosts.coop

    Email client settings: If you or your customers have not yet switched to using our domain name (e.g. mail.mediablazehosts.coop) as your mail server hostname name for incoming and outgoing server settings in your mail client, we strongly recommend that you do so before the migration date as this will reduce any downtime on the date of migration, and make any future migrations simpler.
